What is AI Audit Trail?

A durable, inspectable record of what an AI system did and why: the inputs it saw, the decision it reached, its confidence, and who approved it. It is ordinary software engineering rather than a novel capability, but it is what makes an autonomous system acceptable in a regulated or audited process — if you cannot show what the system did, it does not reach production.
