What is Evaluation Suite (Evals)?

An automated test set that measures whether an AI system still produces acceptable output, scored against a curated "golden dataset" of known-correct cases. Evals turn model quality from an opinion into a number, make regressions visible when a model or prompt changes, and are the basis for a recurring accuracy report. Most AI deployments ship without them.
